In the MAC right after the 10:45 service

Be at the church at 5pm for registration.
End of retreat will be the 10:45 contemporary worship service

October 2, 2009CHANGE IN SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES!
All girls will be with Mel and all boys will be with Keith!
Mel is NOT doing a book of the Bible… always a rebel.. Mel is doing women of the Bible!
Keith is finding answers to life’s questions in the book of Psalms!
Sunday school starts at 9:45. Remember, this is our kitchen table, the place where we communicate with each other the most so it is IMPORTANT!

Next MYF is Sunday, January 3rd at 5:30!
It will be a movie night! Movies will be upstairs and recreation will be upstairs!
We had a great turn-out for the Christmas party! Thank you to all the folks that helped out!

Some more reminders from Mel…
Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
When you say, ‘I love you ,’ mean it.
When you say, ‘I’m sorry,’ look the person in the eye.
Never laugh at anyone’s dream. People who don’t have dreams don’t have much.
Love deeply and passionately… You might get hurt but it’s the only way to live life completely.
In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.
Don’t judge people by their relatives.
Talk slowly but think quickly.
Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
Say ‘bless you’ when you hear someone sneeze.
When you lose, don’t lose the lesson !
Remember the three R’s: Respect for self; Respect for others; and responsibility for all your actions.
Don’t let a little dispute injure a great friendship..
When you realize you’ve made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.
Spend some time alone. Spend some time with friends. Spend some time with family. BUT more importantly spend most of your time with God.
